A limited edition, hand printed screen print and paper collage, made in England.
Size of image : 30 X 20 cm
Size of paper : 40X 30 cm
New York City is primarily known for its busy active life and its many skyscrapers. In fact, the city is known for having some of the world biggest and largest skyline buildings. When people from other countries visit the United States, one of the first places they visit is New York City to see the many buildings and skyscrapers. And the best place to see it is from a high point of view (like the empire State Building). In a original way, "flying girls" proposes a different and magical point of view, a swing that will go so high that the children could see entirely Manhattan.
This work is a hand made screenprint mixed with collage paper (for the two girls). I like the messiness of sticky glue, soggy paper and the unpredictable nature of the final product.
Today, with technology, collage extends beyond using paper. Enabling acute manipulation and a huge range of artistic possibilities, computer programmes now mean we can assemble a collage digitally. I like to work on the boundaries between collage and technology.
Please note colour may vary (only slightly) in the flesh.
This screen print was hand printed in water based inks on 300gsm Cartridge Paper.
Limited edition of 15 prints.
PLEASE NOTE: Frame not included.
This print will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper and packed in a robust cardboard box for delivery. A trackable mailing service is normally used to ensure it reaches you safely.
